Young singers from Edvard Grieg Youth Choir in international online competition

Four young singers from the Edvard Grieg Youth Choir and Bergen National Opera’s Unge Stemmer program participated in the international online competition Emil Rotundu which was held in early July. The director of the competition expressed gratitude for the contributions and their high level. The competition had 148 participants aged 14-37 from 20 countries on four continents.

The singers participated in different age groups and the participants from Edvard Grieg Youth Choir did very well:

Age group 14-18:
1st prize: Ian Marcus Bjørsvik
2nd prize: Stian Jebsen (Unge Stemmer participant), Frida Maria Bergquist

Age group 19-27:
2nd prize: Martina Starr-Lassen (member of EGU from the start and Unge Stemmer participant)
