The Minuet Dancer
|Troldhaugvegen 65, Bergen, Norway|
|Sunday March 19, 2017|
“On a low cabinet stood a pair of yellow silk-shoes. Those were the shoes that Sarah Fosswinckel wore when she danced the fateful minuet”.
“Menuett-danserinnen” (The Minuet Dancer) is a story by Elisabeth and Johan Welhaven, taking place in Bergen in the old days. We bid you welcome to their living room where the story is given new life through song, dance and drama. You will also hear “Haugtussa”, a story about a young girl’s first love – and heartbreak, set to music by Edvard Grieg, and first performed by Maren Welhavens daughter, Eva Nansen. Join us this unique evening at Troldhaugen.
